Furnace Maintenance Checklist

• Clean and replace regular filter
• Test thermostat for proper cycle setting
• Clean condensate drains
• Remove and clean burner assembly
• Check gas orifice for proper size
• Clean and adjust ignition system
• Inspect heat exchanger for leaks or obstructions
• Remove, clean and adjust blower motor
• Remove and clean blower wheel
• Test safety controls
• Check and adjust gas valve pressure
• Clean furnace cabinet
• Measure volts and amps of unit and components
• Measure temperature differences across heat exchanger
• Check for carbon monoxide
• Check for gas leaks
• Inspect venting
• Lubricate all moving parts
• Check system for proper operation at completion
